I still have half a year left at Swat, but some of us seniors are already getting pretty nostalgic.
The other night, my friend showed me a “memory map” she’d made of all the places on campus she had great conversations, kissed someone, or cried. I decided to make my own memory map to help introduce myself to you guys. I hope this map will give you a bit of an idea of who I am and what kinds of experiences I’ve had at Swarthmore.
(Sorry, no make-out sessions on this map!)
First…. a map of campus (borrowed from the Scott Arboretum):
Now, some memories on that map:
Needless to say, this is only a fraction of the memories that crowd my mental map of Swarthmore: good, bad, and in-between. For the last three years, Swat has been the primary place that I study, play, eat, socialize – everything! It’s become my home. I know that after I leave Swarthmore, I’ll map many new memories onto many new places. But I also know that for a long time, my Swarthmore memories will keep making me who I am.
